Pathways Community Church

As followers of Christ, we are called to love everyone, even our enemies, something humanly impossible but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The world, however, does not have that power. Have you ever wondered why the world hates Jesus Christ, and His followers, so much? Join us as Pastor Erik continues in the Gospel of John and shows us exactly why this is the case.

It is not uncommon for followers of Jesus to harbor a bit of envy toward His first followers of some 2000 years ago, followers who heard His teachings with their own ears, witnessed His miracles with their own eyes, and could testify of His resurrection from having walked with His resurrected body. Yet Jesus tells us in today's passage that we, His followers, are not orphans, that there is no reason to be troubled by His bodily absence, for He has given to every believer the Holy Spirit, who will give us supernatural peace and lead us into all truth. Join us as Pastor Erik continues through the Gospel of John.

For nearly a year now, Pastor Erik has been taking us through the Gospel of John. We have learned many things along the way and have encountered Scriptures which paint a picture of who exactly this man from Nazareth is, this miracle worker, this wise teacher. We have also seen the consternation stirred up amongst the Jewish leaders, and the tension has continued to build. That tension will only increase as we enter chapter 14, where Jesus makes a claim that remains today a large stumbling block, keeping many from trusting in Him.

Upon learning of and applying for the role of Senior Pastor at Pathways Community Church, Pastor Erik immediately fell in love with the mission statement: Exalt His Glory. Enjoy His Grace. Proclaim His Gospel. So much so that he intends to remind himself and the congregation on a regular basis of why we are here, who God is, and what that means to a follower of Christ. Join us, and find out for yourself.
