Turning Struggles Into Strengths
[email protected] We are the State of MN's first justice-specific Recovery Community Organization.

Here at Begin Anew, we specialize in helping those seeking recovery from SUD/Mental Health whom are Justice Involved. We believe in something called "Recovery Focused Reentry". This simply means we do Reentry right with a strong focus on Responsivity and public safety. At Begin Anew we believe in quality over quantity. With our "Top Tier Peers" (Peer Recovery Specialists) we will go above and beyond for our participant's unique needs. Ethics is of the utmost importance to our staff and we hold them to the highest standards. We believe that everyone recovers at their own pace and that we all use different recovery pathways. At Begin Anew we find recovery pathways that are a right fit for you with a judgment-free approach. Wherever you are in life, no matter your struggle the "Begin Anew Crew" has got you for any of your recovery needs. When it comes to training, we offer a whole host of different topics that Peers working in the field can attend and obtain CEUs. Including being the state's leading trainers of the Forensic Endorsement for Peer Recovery Specialists. Please reach out to us for any questions about Peer Support, training, or to learn about referrals!

💜 Begin Anew had a great time attending the Steve Rummler HOPE Network’s 2026 Community of Hope Gala!

It was a wonderful night connecting with our fellow Recovery Community partners and spending time with friends who share a passion for saving lives and supporting recovery.

The Steve Rummler HOPE Network’s mission to prevent overdose deaths through education, advocacy, and access to Naloxone is one we’re proud to support. As a Naloxone Access Point, Begin Anew provides Naloxone and trains community members on how to recognize an overdose and use it—because you never know when you could save a life. 💜

Thank you for an amazing evening filled with community, connection, and HOPE!

October is National Substance Use Prevention Month ❤️
🎗️ Observed during Red Ribbon Week from October 23 through October 31

Prevention starts with education, connection, support, and strong communities. It also means making sure people who are struggling with substance use know that help is available and recovery is possible.

At Begin Anew, our Recovery Navigators provide free peer-based support, advocacy, resource navigation, connections to treatment and recovery resources, employment support, and help overcoming barriers along their recovery journey.

Our Housing Navigator helps individuals navigate housing resources and work toward greater housing stability.

Overdose prevention is also an important part of keeping our communities safe. Begin Anew is a Naloxone Access Point, providing access to naloxone (Narcan), education, and training for individuals who want to become trained in how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. Learning how to administer naloxone could help you save a life.

A special shout-out to the Steve Rummler HOPE Network, whose partnership and work make this life-saving resource possible. The Steve Rummler HOPE Network operates Minnesota’s largest naloxone distribution program and continues to expand access to naloxone and overdose-prevention education throughout our communities. 💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Begin Anew stands with survivors of domestic violence. We recognize that abuse can impact housing, employment, family, stability, and recovery—and no one should have to navigate those challenges alone.

Our peer-based services can help connect individuals with resources, advocacy, housing support, recovery support, and other services as they work toward safety, stability, and a new beginning.

🦋Survivors deserve to be heard, believed, and supported.
