The Exeter Township Police Department is proud to announce that on Friday, September 25th, 2026, Lt. Sean Fullerton and Sgt. Rocco DeCamillo successfully completed and graduated from the prestigious Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, Class #640.
The School of Police Staff and Command is a nationally recognized, rigorous 6-month training program in which the officers attend classes on subjects such as Law Enforcement Management, Budgeting, Human Resource Management, Risk Management, and Media Relations. The curriculum is taught by both academic and industry experts and reflects best practices in law enforcement standards.
Class #640 was attended by 25 supervisory personnel from 18 different agencies and represented an excellent opportunity for networking and intra-agency relationships.
The ETPD congratulates both Lt. Fullerton and Sgt. DeCamillo on a job well done!
Regarding the incident at the Exeter Township School District Homecoming event on September 24, 2026:
During the lighting of the Homecoming bonfire, an unexpected blast occurred, causing debris to be thrown from the area of the fire. At least one person was struck by debris and was evaluated at the scene.
We recognize how serious and frightening this incident was for the families and community members who witnessed it. We are thankful that the injuries reported at the scene did not appear to be serious.
Exeter Township Police officers were on scene when the incident occurred and immediately assisted with the response. We are currently working with the Assistant Fire Marshal to investigate and review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
We understand the community has questions about what occurred. Our focus is on conducting a thorough investigation and providing accurate information as that process moves forward.
