Meet Freya
Big Heart, Little Legs!

Freya is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old little lady who looks remarkably like a German Shepherd in a Corgi body! Her adorable little tail stub has a way of fluttering with happiness whenever she meets someone new.

The kids say she’s a lot like Olaf from Frozen — friendly, affectionate, a little quirky, and absolutely convinced that everyone she meets is going to be her new best friend. 🥰

Freya loves people and is happiest when she’s close to her humans, whether she’s getting belly rubs, giving kisses, or settling in for a cozy nap. She’s housebroken, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and has mastered the very important art of relaxing.

Freya recently had teeth extracted and now has only 9 teeth remaining but is doing well eating slightly softened food. She is currently working on losing a little weight while gradually increasing her exercise. She enjoys leisurely walks and is definitely more of a “stop and smell the roses” kind of girl than a marathon runner. Her ideal family will continue helping her build healthy habits while understanding that sometimes the best part of a walk is coming home for a nice nap afterward.

Freya is good with children and other dogs.
She is currently being fostered in Havertown, PA, so potential adopters and canines siblings must be willing to travel to meet her.

Most importantly, Freya is a loving, affectionate companion who simply wants to be part of a family. If you’re looking for a sweet, endearing little shadow with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Freya may be your girl!

APPLICATIONS FOR RIESLING ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO OVERWHELMING INTEREST

We’re incredibly grateful for the outpouring of interest and support! Our team is carefully reviewing the applications we’ve received and will contact the best match soon.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness as we work to find the perfect home for Riesling!

🍷 Hi, I’m Riesling! 🍷

Yes, I’m named after the w**e! Just like my namesake, I’m sweet, beautiful, and hard to resist.

I’m a 17-week-old Golden Retriever, weighing about 35 pounds. I’m loving, friendly, and good with kids and dogs. Most of all, I love being with my people!

I came to rescue with my mom after we were surrendered together. I’m doing well with crate training and learning all about being a puppy.

Leash walking is still a work in progress, so a fenced-in yard is required for my forever home. I’m a pretty chill girl who loves to lounge, play, and look adorable. ✨

I’m still learning and growing, but I promise lots of love, Golden Retriever sweetness, and fluffy puppy kisses! 🐾💕

If you’re looking for a beautiful, loving, silly English Cream Golden girl, I might just be your Riesling! 🍷

I’m microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready for my forever family! I’ll be adopted on a $250 refundable spay contract.

"Hi! I'm Henrik, or Henry, or Hank, or anything besides 'latefor dinner'! I am a very happy, confident, social kind of guy. I love to go for walks, play in the yard, chew toys, wrestle my foster sisters, and get treats! I am totally the class clown, I never take anything too seriously. I love to have fun and I am looking forward to being someone's go-everywhere, do-anything BFF!

I am 6 years young, with tons of energy to keep up with my people. I spent the first 6 years of my life at a kennel, but the second I landed in my foster home I decided Oh yeah, the House Dog life is FOR ME! I still like to play outside, but the couch and the air conditioning is amazing!

I am learning quickly how everything in my foster home works. I am working on crate training and potty training. I don't love my crate, but I am getting used to it. When I am unsupervised, I don't always make good choices (I may or may not have stolen a box of tissues and had a confetti party while my foster mom was in the other room), so I know being crated helps keep me safe when I'm alone. House training is going very well. I still wear a bellyband when I'm roaming the house just-in-case, but I usually stay dry!

I love all people, strangers are just friends I haven't met yet! I am working on building good manners. Currently, I do tend to jump up, and even give a few playful love nibbles, so I think older kids or just adults would be best for my forever family. I would love to go to an adult dog manners class and get some training!

I am hopeful I find a forever home where someone is able to do lots of fun activities with me and spend lots of time together!"

Henrik is a neutered male Boston Terrier. He is a very sweet, silly boy with a bright future. He is being fostered in Southern Lancaster county, PA. Interested families can fill out an application on our website, www.zoeshouserescue.com. We do not always receive applications submitted though adoptapet or petfinder. All members of the family, including resident dogs must come to a meet and greet at Henrik's foster home prior to adoption.

& Meet Rhubarb 🌿💝

This 5 Year old, 40lb Labradoodle is short, stocky, a little scruffy, and an absolute Sweet Tart.....mostly sweet, with just enough tart to keep things interesting. 😉

Rhubarb came to us from a commercial breeder, but she is more than ready to leave that chapter behind. She is spayed, up to date on all the things, and happiest when she's with her people. And we mean WITH her people! Going for a short neighborhood walk? She's in. Netflix & Chill? She's on your lap!
Running errands? Sh***un! Preparing Dinner? Obviously she needs to supervise!

Rhubi is happy, loyal, loving, and adores people of all sizes, from the little ones to the grown-ups. She can live with other dogs with slow, thoughtful introductions, but truthfully, she wouldn't complain one bit about being your one-and-only and soaking up ALL the attention. Rhubi is a "let's hang out together" kind of girl.

Her wiry coat has been low-maintenance so far, and the groomer doesn't expect her to need the typical frequent doodle grooming. She currently isn't shedding, although some light shedding may be possible.

And yes, you noticed that ear. 🥰 Part of one ear was missing before Rhubi came into rescue. We don't know the story, but it doesn't affect her hearing one bit. We think it just adds a little extra Rhubarb Sass and maybe a bit of T-Rex!! 🦖😂

If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who thinks wherever you are is exactly where she belongs, this little Sweet Tart may be your girl! 🍬❤

Hi! My name is Daphne. Pleased to meet you.

I am a 5-year old mini-goldendoodle. My foster mom says I got all of the golden personality, but way less of the fluff. She's right, I'm only 20 lbs and my curls are on point, if I do say so myself. I've been bunking with several foster siblings and get along with everyone, but I am ready to find my own home and would also be fine being the only queen in the castle.

Socialization: Daphne is friendly and good-natured. She can be a little shy in new situations, but warms up quickly. She loves a car ride and is a pretty brave girl on new adventures. She likes to be included! She has done well with both male and female dogs in the home setting. She will correct dogs that get too pushy, but is appropriate about it. Daphne has met the neighborhood children and liked them.

Training: Daphne knows sit. She walks well on leash, although she is working on not being 'the leader' and trying to pull. She has done very well with house-training (regression can sometimes occur in new environments).

Crate trained: Daphne is crate trained and stays in a medium-sized crate while her foster parents are at work. She will rest quietly and does not whine or fuss as a general rule.

Activity level/requirements: Daphne is a medium energy dog. She enjoys a good walk, but does not need to go miles. She does like to run and explore around the yard during her potty times.

Fence requirements: Daphne does not require a physical fence. She is also not a dog that is reliable on recall at this time. She seems to like the idea of chasing cars that go by and will run to the end of her leash. Boundary training is not an option.

Personality: Daphne is a little love. She likes to be around her people, will totally do a good snuggle session on the couch, but does not need attention constantly either. She will sleep all night in crate or on a bed and is content to get up whenever the humans do.

Health: Daphne is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She had a dental at time of her spay. Because she has poodle in her pedigree, she will require routine grooming to keep her locks in order.

If Daphne sounds like a good match, apply for her at zoeshouserescue.com and fill out an application under her profile.

Meet DollyJane Pug (Dolly for short)!
DollyJane is a 4-year-old pug, former breeding momma, professional snuggler, part-time comedian, and certified adorable. She has recently discovered that retirement from motherhood means she gets to spend her days doing much more important things—like napping on the couch, following her people around, and being told how cute she is all day long.
And honestly? She deserves every bit of it.
DollyJane is a sweet, silly little girl who is still figuring out this whole being a dog thing. She can be a bit nervous and needs some encouragement (and occasionally a lift) when it comes to the great outdoors. For now, she needs to be carried through doorways to go outside and will need a physically fenced yard, as she is still hesitant about walking on a leash. She IS improving, though, and we're hoping her confidence will continue to grow with a patient family and lots of positive reinforcement.
She is also doing well with her potty training! Her new family will need to be committed to taking her outside on a regular schedule and continuing to help her be successful.
DollyJane is dog-friendly and cat-friendly, so she is happy to share her home with four-legged siblings. She also has a very important message for any potential adopters: she is much tougher than she looks. DollyJane will occasionally put on her big, tough pug persona, but underneath that bravado is a little girl who is basically a marshmallow.
As for the crate… DollyJane will tolerate it. She may file a brief formal complaint for a few minutes after being put inside, but eventually settles down. Given the choice, however, she would strongly prefer to be right next to you on the couch, preferably touching you in at least three places.
DollyJane came into foster care with a UTI and urinary crystals. She is currently doing well on prescription food and will need to have her urine rechecked in approximately 3–6 months to determine whether she needs to remain on the prescription diet or can eventually transition to a regular diet. Her future family will need to be comfortable following up with her veterinarian and continuing to monitor this.
DollyJane is spayed, fully vetted, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is ready for a home where she can finally be someone's spoiled little companion and continue learning that life is pretty great when you're loved.
🏡 A few things DollyJane is looking for:
• A physically fenced yard
• A family willing to continue working patiently on her confidence and leash skills
• Someone who can take her outside on a consistent potty schedule
• A home where she can get plenty of snuggles and attention
• Dog and/or cat siblings are welcome!
• A family who understands that she may need a little extra patience as she continues adjusting to life outside the breeding world
DollyJane is being fostered in Lancaster, PA. Her potential family will need to be willing to make two trips to Lancaster—one trip for a meet-and-greet with all members of the household, and a second trip to complete her adoption and take her home.
This girl may need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she does, you're going to have yourself a silly, snuggly, slightly dramatic little pug who is absolutely convinced that she runs the household.
She's not wrong.
