🐾 Meet our General Practice Doctors🐾

We’re excited to introduce Christina Martins, one of our dedicated General Practice veterinarians!

Dr. Martins has always been in GP, and for the past 7 years at RBVH, she has been providing compassionate, comprehensive care to her patients and building meaningful connections with their families.

Her favorite part of being a GP vet? The variety. She loves seeing healthy young pets for their wellness visits and then continuing to support them as they grow, helping owners manage medical conditions as their pets age. Most of all, she values the long-term relationships she forms with both pets and their people — being there through every stage of life.

At home, Dr. Martins has three feline companions:

😽Tallulah (“Doodles”) – Domestic Medium Hair

😺Drez – Domestic Shorthair

🐱Zlata- British shorthair

If she hadn’t become a veterinarian, she thinks she might have pursued a career as a human physician — which makes sense, given her passion for medicine and lifelong care. Less realistically but in her fantasies she would have been an interior designer.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Martins loves staying active and enjoying the outdoors. You can find her at the beach, skiing, dancing, hiking, or traveling whenever she gets the chance.

We’re so grateful to have Dr. Martins as part of the RBVH team — her dedication to her patients and their families truly makes a difference every day!

AMU K9 in partnership with Red Bank Veterinary Hospital was honored to have served as the official on-site emergency veterinary team supporting the canine units protecting the FIFA World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium, including the World Cup Final.

Throughout the tournament, our veterinarians, including Dr. Tom Hart, Dr. Dave Conway and Dr. Anna Massey, provided emergency veterinary support for the dogs serving alongside several state and federal law enforcement agencies. These highly trained canine partners play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of players, staff, and tens of thousands of spectators at one of the world's largest sporting events.

This tournament marked the first time FIFA incorporated dedicated on-site veterinary services for its working canine teams, making it an incredible privilege of AMU K9 with the support of Red Bank Veterinary Hospital to be selected for this historic role.

The Vice President of the security services team shared:

"The success of this detail was made possible by the support from AMU K9 and our partners at the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital who were present at every game to ensure the health and well-being of our canine partners. We are grateful for this partnership."

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to support these remarkable dogs and the handlers who depend on them. It was an honor to stand alongside the professionals dedicated to keeping the FIFA World Cup safe, ensuring that the canine partners protecting the world's biggest stage received the same exceptional medical care they provide in service every day.

💙🦷Another fantastic evening of learning is in the books!🦷💙

On July 16, Red Bank Veterinary Hospital was proud to welcome veterinary professionals from across the state for our continuing education lecture, "Plaque to the Future: Fixing Yesterday's Periodontal Mistakes", presented by our own Dr. Kevin Haggerty, MVB, DAVDC, DEVDC.

Attendees enjoyed an engaging and informative presentation focused on improving periodontal diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient outcomes through practical, real-world case discussions. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.

A special thank you to 26 West on the Navesink for providing an outstanding culinary spread that was enjoyed by all of our guests.

Congratulations as well to our raffle winner, Olivia S., Head Technician at All Creatures Great & Small Animal Hospital in Fairfield, who won a $150 HOKA gift card! We hope you enjoy your new kicks!

We're grateful for the opportunity to bring the veterinary community together to learn, connect, and continue advancing patient care. 🎉 Please join us in celebrating incredible professional milestones! 🎉

We are thrilled to congratulate three outstanding members of the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital team on achieving board certification in their respective specialties!

🌟 Dr. Jake Salzman – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine)

🌟Dr. Kristine Brown – Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology)

Becoming a board-certified veterinary specialist requires years of additional training beyond veterinary school, including intensive internships and residencies, advanced clinical experience, original research, publication, and successfully passing one of the most rigorous specialty examinations in veterinary medicine. It is a remarkable achievement that reflects extraordinary dedication, perseverance, and expertise.

☀️ Hola Seno-RITA!! ☀️

Meet Rita, a fabulously fashionable 3-year-old Sphynx cat who recently stopped by to see her favorite General Practice veterinarian, Dr. Marilyn Sain.

Dressed to impress in her adorable sun hat, Rita reminded us that hairless cats can be more sensitive to the sun than their furry friends. While her stylish accessory had everyone smiling, it also served as a great reminder that protecting exposed skin from excessive sun exposure is important for our hairless companions.

Of course, Rita didn't mind all the attention her fashion accessory helped her receive one bit. She soaked up compliments (not sunshine!) from her growing fan club, posing like the superstar she is and charming everyone she met.

Stay cool, stay stylish, and remember, when it comes to the summer sun, sometimes the best accessory is a fabulous hat to match your fabulous purr-sonality. 😎💜
