SPOTLIGHT ON GIVING - CAPITAL FUND

Funds donated to the Capital Fund are used for the major repairs and upkeep of our cherished historical building and place of worship. The original church building was completed in 1850, and consecrated in 1851. There was a devastating fire on Easter Sunday in 1968, but thankfully our church building was reconstructed in 1969. The challenge of maintaining an effectively 57 year-old structure while keeping its historic character only increases with the passage of time.

The Capital Fund was created to specifically address maintenance and repair separately from the operating budget, to ensure our ability to address larger scale issue such as HVAC units or roofing, for example, when they arise. The initial drive establishing the Capital Fund culminated in 2019, but the goal is ongoing: maintaining our historic church as it has been maintained in the past.

You can designate your giving to the Capital Fund by noting so on the traditional envelopes you place in the offerings plate on Sundays, or via the church's already-established online giving platform, or in the memo line of checks sent to the church by you or electronically via your bank.
