$7.9 Million Grant Will Support Growth at Stillwater Business Park
The City of Redding has been awarded a $7.9 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to continue infrastructure improvements at Stillwater Business Park.
The funding will extend Venture Parkway from Parcel 12 to Parcel 16, improving access to additional sites for future development and investment.
Shasta EDC President and CEO Rebecca Baer said the investment builds on the park’s growing momentum, including Amazon’s recent arrival and continued interest from prospective businesses.
The City expects the project to go out to bid and construction to begin by summer 2027, although the timeline is subject to change. Shasta EDC will continue working with the City and other partners to market available properties and attract employers, investment, and high-quality jobs to Redding and Shasta County.
Startup Games is happening this weekend — and this guy’s business is going to change lives.
That’s what Startup Games is all about.
Your idea does not have to be polished, fully planned, or even started yet. If it’s just something you’ve been thinking about, bring it.
In three days, you can meet people, test the idea, build momentum, and take the first real steps toward making it happen.
Startup Reading + Startup Games is this weekend. Come with an idea. Leave with progress. 🚀
Your business idea doesn’t have to be fully formed. It doesn’t need a pitch deck, a business plan, or even a name.
It can literally just be a thought in your head.
At Startup Games, you’ll have three days to take that idea, put it into motion, and see what you can make happen. Build it, test it, meet people who can help you, and turn “maybe someday” into a real first step.
Startup Reading + Startup Games are happening this weekend. If you’ve been sitting on an idea, this is your sign to start. 🚀
Three days. One idea. Let’s see where it goes.

The strongest economies aren’t built by chance, they’re built through years of planning.
Long before a company opens its doors or new jobs are created, communities have to prepare the foundation: infrastructure, workforce, available sites, partnerships, and a vision for where the region is headed.
That’s the work happening every day at the Shasta EDC.
By thinking years, even decades ahead, we’re helping position Shasta County to attract the industries of tomorrow while supporting the businesses that already call this region home.
A stronger economy doesn’t just benefit businesses. It creates opportunity for everyone who lives, works, and invests in Shasta County.
Growth takes more than opportunity. It takes collaboration.
The Shasta EDC works alongside local businesses, community leaders, developers, and industry partners to support business expansion, attract investment, and help strengthen the economic future of Shasta County.
From available development sites and business parks to workforce resources and strategic infrastructure, our region is creating opportunities for businesses to start, grow, and thrive.
As companies continue to invest in Shasta County, we’re helping lay the foundation for long-term success across the region.
