Redding Veterinary Clinic

🐾 October is National Pet Wellness Month! 🩺

Keeping your pet healthy isn't just about treating problems—it’s also about finding changes before they become obvious.

Routine wellness labwork can help evaluate kidney and liver function, blood sugar, blood cells, and more. It also gives us a valuable baseline for your pet, allowing us to spot subtle changes over time.

Dogs and cats can be very good at hiding illness, so sometimes labwork tells us something is changing before you notice symptoms at home.

This National Pet Wellness Month, remember: “They seem perfectly healthy!” is exactly how we want them to feel when we check. ❤️

☕🐱 Happy International Coffee Day!

Moon likes her Churu like she likes her coffee — served promptly and without interruption. 😂

And if the service is slow, she WILL speak to management.

Today is World Rabies Day.

Rabies is nearly always fatal once symptoms appear — but it’s also preventable. Keeping your pets’ rabies vaccinations current protects them, you, and our entire community. ❤️

🍂🐾 Happy First Day of Fall! 🐾🍂

Cooler days, crunchy leaves, cozy blankets, and pets who are very ready for sweater weather.

Wishing you and your furry family a wonderful fall from all of us at Redding Veterinary Clinic!

Growing the Next Generation of Veterinarians!

Redding Veterinary Clinic was proud to participate in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Externship Fair!

Dr. Townsell connected with hundreds of veterinary students and asked each of them, “How do you want to grow?” Students received a small succulent as a reminder that meaningful growth begins with the right environment, encouragement, and opportunities.

We were thrilled to meet so many students interested in visiting Redding for summer work experience and clinical externships. At Redding Veterinary Clinic, we love teaching and are committed to providing a supportive, hands-on environment where future veterinarians can strengthen their clinical skills, build confidence, and discover the kind of veterinarian they want to become.

We can’t wait to welcome veterinary students to Redding and introduce them to our clinic and the wonderful community we call home!

🦜 Happy National Pet Bird Day! 🐦

Today we’re celebrating our feathered friends — from tiny chirpers to big personalities with wings!

Show us your pet birds in the comments. We’d love to see them!

Our hospital cat Moon approves of this message!🤣

Happy Hug Your Hound Day!

Today’s assignment is easy: find your favorite four-legged friend and give them an extra hug!

Of course, some dogs may prefer payment in treats. 😂

Show us your huggable hounds in the comments!

Rule #1 of working at a veterinary hospital: Never leave your phone unattended.

At Redding Veterinary Clinic, we take excellent care of your pets. Your unattended phone, however, is completely on its own! 😂
