Courage to Lead. Commitment to Serve. I am a God fearing, Spirit filled, Wife, Mom and Constitutionalist.
I work as an elected official committed to restraining government and unleashing the power of the human spirit. I’m fascinated by people and ideas, and the hope that drives them. My goal as a politician is to raise the expectations of what representation can be and lower the dependency on government to be the solution to issues.
📈Budget Update- the budget is not balanced! While the reality of our financial distress is not great- I am grateful that after a year of standing alone in whistleblowing this coverup the truth is now out. The city has a significant deficit in its budget and we can now do the work to correct this imbalance. Circle 6 has been hired and we are going department by department to right size our city.
🔹Serving the public is the highest goal. Lowering the cost of living is possible and we have accomplished that by defeating the rate hike. Best birthday gift ever! 🎁

🚨REU RATE INCREASE!
At the Redding Council meeting 2/17/26 a request was made to set a hearing for an REU rate increase.
➡️ The vote 4-1 So here is what you need to know.
📈The increase proposed would be
April 1, 2026 +4.5%
January 1, 2027 + 4.5%
🔺That’s +9% in 8 months.
January 1, 2028 +4.5%
🔺That’s +13.5% in 20 months
January 1, 2029 +4.5%
January 1, 2030 +2%
🚫I voted No and here is why.
1) No data was given to justify the increase.
2) I asked to delay the hearing to get the data and provide the data to the public. With enough time to process and debate.
3) 9 business days to alert the public and hear from the public is not enough time.
Here is what happens next:
🔴Feb 26th Thursday workshop 12 noon or 5pm @ City Hall
🔴 March 3rd 6pm City Council Meeting where the council will VOTE on increases.
The total increase is 20% with 13.5% in the next 20 months.
📣If you have something to say about this email the council and/or come to the March 3rd Council meeting.
Government aid is destroying the human spirit.

☀️A win for accountability and fiscal responsibility!
The voters of Redding have made it clear, they will not bail out bad decisions or reward a lack of transparency.
Measure A’s failure is not a loss for the city, it’s a win for better, not bigger, government.
Redding doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a management problem.
I’ve stood alone at times to sound that alarm, and last night, the people stood with me.
The council majority may have tried to end my efforts to expose the truth, but the truth has prevailed.
The voters sided with facts, not fear, and our community will be stronger because of it.
I’ve said from the beginning that Measure A wasn’t about politics, it was about priorities. The voters have chosen fiscal honesty over easy answers.
This decision is a call to every city leader to do better, spend smarter, and rebuild trust.
I’m ready to get to work with anyone who shares that goal.
🌟Let’s create the best Redding possible; a city defined by limited government, boundless innovation, and a thriving private sector.
