A News Cafe is your local journalism source since 2007. A News Cafe covers a wide scope of subjects from local journalists and photographers.

Founded in 2007 by Doni Chamberlain and Joe Domke, A News Cafe is the premier online news magazine for readers in Northern California, Southern Oregon, and beyond. Thoughtful and civil comments are encouraged. We strive to maintain a safe space for all to voice their opinion. While all points of view are welcome, following online etiquette will encourage others to join in and continue the discussion. We strongly suggest that you:

o Be polite, clear and simple

o Stay on topic

o State your opinion, but avoid personal attacks, and back up your points with personal experience. Remember, this is a public forum. Write the way you would speak at an open meeting. Construct a well thought-out argument and keep it concise. A News Cafe may, at its discretion, delete comments containing hate speech, personal attacks, irrelevant sexual references, libel or spam. Repeat offenders may be blocked.
