Healthy Shasta
Vision: A community where the healthy choice is the easy choice.
Healthy Shasta is a local partnership to promote healthy and active living among north state residents. We joined forces out of concern over increasing rates of childhood obesity and chronic diseases such as type II diabetes. We are committed to long lasting community changes that make healthy choices easier, convenient, inviting and affordable everywhere you live, work, play, learn and study. On Fridays we feature trails! 👟
Today's trail is Enterprise Park in Redding!
This trail features a walk through a lively park featuring three main sections: a disc golf & a soccer field, Kids Kingdom playground with seasonal water feature, a community center, restrooms, and drinking fountains. The third section includes open space with a community garden sponsored by People of Progress, and a BMX bike track. A dirt loop for walking or cycling surrounds the garden with views of Churn Creek. The trail also connects to the playground area and soccer field. 🍂🍂

Sign up to volunteer for the 19th Annual Bike & Pedestrian Count on September 15–17!
The data you gather is very valuable and essential in securing funding for better bike ways in Shasta County.
Our focus is to count annually the third full week of September (15, 16, 17th), however, if you are not available to count that week due to vacation, poor air quality, or an unforeseeable conflict, you can still sign up and count the following week, Sept 22, 23, or 24.
