Together we can make a difference! We were inspired by the hopeful message of this year’s State of the City address in Redding. We are proud of our own Rob Lowes, Board Chair of the Redding Chamber of Commerce, who highlighted the Sierra Pacific Regional Cancer Center as an example of what can be accomplished when we work together for the common good in our community. Happy 140th birthday, Redding!

💙 Thank you, American Cancer Society 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the generous grant that helps provide gas cards to local cancer patients. These gas cards help ease the financial burden of traveling to appointments and treatments, ensuring patients can focus on what matters most — their health and healing.

Thank you for supporting our patients and helping make their cancer journey a little easier. We are so grateful for your partnership and commitment to our community! 🎗️American Cancer Society Mercy Medical Center Redding

Join us in Mt. Shasta on October 3rd, 2026 for a very special Walk With A Doc! Dr. Russell, a recent breast cancer survivor, will lead our Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. We are so thankful to him for leading the charge and sharing his story.

Of course, the Mt. Shasta community never ceases to amaze us. The Mt. Shasta Elks Lodge #2333 is hosting a post walk Pancakes for a Purpose Brunch, in support of Breast Cancer Services of Siskiyou County.

Come get your steps in, learn about prevention, screening, and resources, and then enjoy a delicious brunch! A beautiful way to spend a Saturday and kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. See you there! 🩷

We enjoyed giving Senator Megan Dahle and a couple of her staff a tour of the Sierra Pacific Regional Cancer Center this week. We know this place will improve cancer care for many across the district.

We are so grateful to and owner .natalierivera for their incredible support of Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta's Maternal Child Services Department! 💕

Throughout the month of August, Evermore Aesthetics hosted a matching campaign and, thanks to Natalie’s generosity and the support of our community, raised more than $2,000 for Maternal Child Services.

This cause is especially close to Natalie’s heart. As a former OB nurse at Mercy Mt. Shasta, she knows firsthand just how important it is to have strong, well-supported maternity care available right here in our community.

Thank you, Natalie, for continuing to champion the moms, babies, families, and caregivers of Mercy Mt. Shasta. We are so grateful for your passion, generosity, and commitment to local healthcare. 💗

September is Hunger Action Month! Here in Shasta County, 14% of local families struggle to put food on the table.

The Shasta County Food Bank at Dignity Health Connected Living serves nearly 8,000 neighbors each month, plus helps to keep dozens of local food pantries stocked, including 34 school pantries in Shasta County Office of Education schools.

Our friends at Rogue Credit Union are leading the charge this month to help keep these school pantries stocked! They generously donated $2,500 to Connected Living, and want to inspire you to give too!

You can join them by donating funds at www.supportmercynorth.org/hungeraction, or by dropping off family-friendly food items at any local Rogue Credit Union branch.

THANK YOU, Rogue Credit Union, for being a beacon of hope to hungry families!
