🇺🇸 Congratulations to Kylee and Luke! 🇺🇸 Every year, our 6th–8th grade students participate in the AMVETS National Americanism Essay Contest, an opportunity for students to reflect on what it means to be an American.
For the 2025–2026 school year, students answered the question, “What does it mean to be an American?”
Kylee and Luke first won the regional round, advancing to the state competition. We just received the exciting news that they have both been named 1st place winners at the state level in their respective grade divisions! 🏆🇺🇸
It is such an honor to see our students represent Saint Joseph School so well. Their essays will now advance to the National level, and we’ll be praying for them as we await the results!

On the first Sunday of each month, we encourage our families to join us for our 9:00 AM School Mass. This Sunday (10/4) however, we have an especially meaningful reason to gather—not once, but twice, if you are able!
🌟 Two Masses, Two Opportunities to Celebrate!
We warmly encourage our families to attend both the 9:00 AM School Mass AND the 5:00 PM Installation Mass for Father Joshua Sia with the Bishop. As a special thank-you, students who attend both Masses in school uniform will receive two free-dress passes—one for each Mass attended! 🎉 Of course, we understand that families may not be able to attend both. If you need to choose just one, that is absolutely okay! We simply want as many of our SJS families as possible to be part of these special celebrations.

Definition of Orderliness:
Keeping one’s self physically clean and neat and one’s belongings in good order.
Prayer for Orderliness:
Lord Jesus, please help me grow in the virtue of orderliness.
Clear away the disorder in my life that causes me anxiety, prevents me from being
responsible, or makes other people suffer because of my own mess.
Bring order, Lord, into my life so I can have a mind and heart that are freer to love. Amen.
While Junior High and all the Admin were away at Trinidad… Miss Dani, Mrs. Hall, and TK–4th were holding down the fort at school. 😂
Meanwhile, the 5th–8th graders who stayed behind: just another peaceful day at school. 😌📚
We’re not saying chaos happened… but we’re also not saying it didn’t. 😂🏕️

🐢 Third Grade at Turtle Bay!
Our Crusaders enjoyed a day of exploring and learning at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Students experienced the Parrot Playhouse, Inside Out exhibit, learned about bear paws, and looked at wildlife. 🐾❤️ Thank you Turtle Bay!

☕🌸 Our St. Joseph Ambassadors were honored to help serve at Northern Valley Catholic Social Services’ (NVCSS) 40th Anniversary Afternoon Tea!
It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to serve our community and celebrate 40 years of NVCSS’ mission of providing vital support, stability, and resources to individuals and families throughout Northern California.
We are so proud of our Ambassadors for representing Saint Joseph School. Congratulations to NVCSS on 40 incredible years of service to our community! ❤️✨
