First 5 Shasta is building a pathway to success for children. We invest in early childhood from 0-5.
Investing in early childhood through available grants for programs, services, and activities and offering parent and provider education. To date, our investment in Shasta County's young children ages 0-to-5 has grown to over $20 million...and they are worth it! Investing early prompts optimal child development, healthy brain development, building of strong basic skills, physical, cognitive, social and emotional. And all this gets children on the pathway to success in kindergarten, in school, and in life. Our investment is excellent for children and benefits the whole community for generations to come.
