A quiet, beautiful moment at the beginning of a whole new chapter. Congratulations to one of our first-time mommas! And as an added gift, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset.

We spent yesterday checking on some of the cows, and new babies are arriving! 🐄
One little calf was left all alone because momma saw us coming and took off—she wanted absolutely nothing to do with us! 😂 But don’t worry, momma and baby are safely hooked back up and all is well.
We also got some tagging done and had to doctor a couple of cows. Busy day, but a good day!
We finished the day with our daily feeding of the steers. Here are a couple of our messy eaters! They act like they’re starving—they get REALLY excited for dinner!

Three First-Time Mamas, Three Little Stories 🐄
What a week it has been! We had three first-time mamas give birth, and each one has had her own little journey into motherhood.
🐄 Mama #1 wasn’t quite sure she wanted to feed her new calf, so after trying for a while, he got a bottle. Thankfully, after a few days, things finally clicked, and now mama and baby are doing great together out on the green pastures. 💚
🌅 Mama #2 had her baby near the lily reeds, and little guy managed to get himself stuck. Jim came to the rescue and helped get him out and safely back with Mom. The two of them were off into the sunset together. 🥰
🐮 Mama #3 is still learning the ropes of being a mom. She’s figuring it out a little at a time, and thankfully, baby is nursing whenever she allows him to. We’re keeping a close eye on this little guy and making sure he’s getting what he needs.
Being a first-time mama isn’t always easy, but it’s pretty special watching them learn and grow into their new roles. ❤️
Here’s to healthy mamas, happy calves, and lots of green pasture ahead!
