You may know that Navy Seals are called Frogmen, but do you know that what they call their kids?

BoneFrog Coffee is founded by Tim Cruickshank, a retired Navy SEAL. Tim's youngest daughter Sarah grew up a Tadpole. Leaving school on base, heading straight to the unit, climbing ropes with the other SEAL kids while their dads trained for something they were too young to understand.

The life has it's own sacrifice, as they often say goodbye to friends; pack up with no notice. Starting over, again and again. Sarah and her dad just created a coffee in honor of those kids.

It's called Lil' Frog.

Single-origin Ethiopian, from one farm in the Keffa region, where coffee was first discovered. Light roast, and it tastes like blueberries and cream. Ten percent of every bag goes to the SEAL Family Foundation, which supports the spouses and children of Naval Special Warfare families.

The Bone Frog is an iconic and sacred symbol within the SEAL Teams. Originally drawn by our teammate Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Keith Kimura, it has become a powerful reminder of the Navy frogmen who gave their lives in service to our country. It stands as a constant tribute to their tremendous sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms of the American way of life.

We want to share this symbol with all Americans, so it becomes a lasting emblem for everyone grateful to live free. Wear the Bone Frog with pride.

BoneFrog Family!

Today is the day we’ve been waiting for. My youngest daughter, Sarah, and I have been working on this project for over a year. It’s a unique way to talk about the life of a military brat and, more specifically, the life of a child growing up in the special operations community. In the SEAL world, the kids are affectionately called tadpoles, and with that in mind, we’ve named this bag Lil' Frog. This is a rare look behind the curtain at something that’s seldom discussed.

The graphic on the front of this bag depicts Sarah climbing a fast rope to the ceiling at our SEAL unit. The kids would often come over after school and work out at the unit with all of the guys. I would stand at the bottom watching with a smile on my face, jaw clenched with anxiety, as they climbed all the way to the ceiling and back. They were fearless. They didn’t know any better, and they were living their lives the way we all should.

Sarah chose this coffee.
It's an exquisite single-origin from Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee. Grown at high altitude and light roasted to bring out every nuance and undertone this incredible coffee holds. You’ll notice undertones of blueberries and cream, red cherries, and strawberries, with a sweet finish of dark honey. Sarah hand-selected this coffee through multiple cuppings, searching for the right farm that carried the exact notes she wanted to share with you.

This coffee reflects the inner beauty and strength of my daughter, and I’m so proud to share it with all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as the two of us do.
