Update 9-21-26. We will be open Thursday & Friday (10-5), Saturday (10-4), and Sunday (10-2).
Wonderful seeing so many familiar faces this past week and getting caught up on family and travels. Sending prayers and wishes for peace and comfort to those who have lost a loved one.
Corn in Section 4 is young and extremely sweet. They will go fast and only one more small section after that. Mom always believed colder weather made our corn even sweeter.
Carrots and beets are at their peak in terms of sweetness and size. Don’t forget to grab a bunch for yourself and/or neighbor. I sent a trailer load of carrots to the ACRS Food Bank this morning to help lessen the impact of food insecurity for those less fortunate.
We will have the following produce available this week as long as supplies last:
Tosh’s sweet white corn
Corn stalks: ten for $5
Pumpkins and squash
Leeks
Red seedless grapes
Beets; red and golden
Carrots irrigated with sugar water to explain why they are sooo sweet
Flowers
Kale
Swiss chard (Google AllRecipes.com Swiss chard Parmesan cheese)
Pole green beans & tomatoes (heirloom) very limited supplies and depends on the weather
Zucchini
If you have any questions or need anything, please see me at the farm.
Warmest regards and best wishes.

Red seedless grapes will be available this week.
This farming season will end sometime in early October. The corn in section 3 is super-sweet. Mom always said cold weather made the corn even sweeter.
If you are planning on putting up corn for the winter, the time is now: blanch corn 1 minute, put in ice bath, cut off from cob, put in freezer bags.

A screen shot from a new customer's message. If You Know, You Know!
1. Our corn is soooo sweet, that you do not need to cook it.
2. We do not irrigate our sweet carrots with sugar water.
3. I do not buy the vegetables at a local big box store and resell them to you.
4. "The Ladder." Where is it?
5. I am a farmer who happened to be a government administrator, not a government administrator who happened to be a farmer.

New crop pole green beans will be on the table.
Grateful for 1.5 inches of rain even though I got the lawn tractor stuck in the mud in the field. The rain allowed me to rototill the 1st section of corn to replenish the soil without causing a dust storm.
We blew through the 1st section of corn and we are blowing through the 2nd section of corn.
