Our CEO, Cynthia, was invited to speak at the American Association of Medical Assistants 70th Annual Conference last week! They also ran a drive for high-need items amongst their members as their community service project and we received hundreds of donations from our Amazon Wish List. ✨ Sue is our Accounting Manager, keeping our finances in check and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. 💸🧾
✨ Yolanda is our Donations Coordinator, managing our Repeat Boutique and Resource Center and organizing incoming donations. She's also our resident Cheer Meister, making every holiday extra special! 🎃🎄
✨ Mayra is a Client Advocate on the graveyard shift at our Residential Facility, making sure the women in our care are supported and looked after throughout the night. 🌙🫂

Earlier this month, on September 1, we celebrated a truly special milestone—STEP2’s 40th Anniversary! 💗✨🎈
We were so grateful to welcome our longtime donors, supporters, friends, and community partners to honor 40 years of hope, healing, and recovery.
From Vice Mayor Martinez proclaiming September 1 as Reno Recovery Day, to celebrating our decade-plus partnership with Builders Association Charity and unveiling our new rock monument, the day was filled with meaningful moments. We heard heartfelt words from STEP2 founder Kathy Boyce and a longtime alumna who graduated from our program 30 years ago. We were also honored to receive Congressional Recognition from the Office of U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen.
A special shoutout to the incredible vendors who helped make our celebration extra special! 💙 Thank you to Doughboys Donuts for providing the donuts, Party America for the beautiful balloons, Starsound AV for their in-kind AV discount, and Celebrations Party Rentals for their in-kind riser discount. We’re so grateful for your generosity and support!
