That review actually came from when we travelled to Firemanship Conference with H&H and Hardknox for their Finest Hour class, but it still rings true in the end.

The reason why we were there is the same reason why we do it here. To teach, to learn, and to always keep pushing each other to just be better. And if you’re lucky, sometimes better comes in different forms.

It’s easy to lose sight in the bigger mission when the small things start to pile up.

So on to the details:

A lot of you are making a long haul to train with us and we want to make sure you’re getting the best out of this experience. We have a hard cap on the max number of students each class can hold to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get enough reps in. Pre-registration is crucial in helping us make sure we get an accurate headcount on how much food, supplies and consumables to order.

If you’ve already registered, check your magic links to make sure that you have gone in and selected your H.O.T Class schedule.

PPE, Waivers, and addresses to the H.O.T Ground Locations can be found on our website.

More info on all of the above can be found in the link in our bio.

We’re taking a quick pause from conference talk to share a little about who FireShowsWest is.

Yes, our foundation’s main mission is making training from the fire service’s most current and influential voices accessible and attainable, but the organization has also strived to lend support to our extended family.

serve not only first responders, but the families who stand beside them, bridging the gap where traditional resources fall short with immediate assistance during injury, illness, crisis, or loss, programs that strengthen families, and initiatives that inspire the next generation of those called to serve.

Show your support have fun while doing it. Sign up for their 1st Annual Golf Tournament on September 5th or participate in FSW’s annual Co****le Tournament on Sept. 17th at the 2026 FSW Conference & Expo.

VERTICAL VENTILATION FOR THE REAL WORLD

Vertical ventilation isn’t just about getting on the roof and cutting a hole. Where you cut, when you cut, and why you cut matters.

This hands-on class takes vertical ventilation back to fireground focused real world operations in single family and multi unit residential structures.

Modern construction. Roof size-up. Tool selection. Coordinating with the engine. Reading conditions. Making the cut. And most importantly, knowing when vertical ventilation is the right move.

40 DAYS OUT.

And look, we know how this works. You guys like to procrastinate.

But classes are filling up.
Rooms are filling up.
And at some point, we need to know how much Coors Light to order.

Don’t be that guy. Don’t be the reason we run out of b**r.
