Join us Tuesday, August 18th, for the third film of our Palestine Documentary Series 1948: Creation & Catastrophe at the Sparks Library at 6pm. The film is 1.5 hours and we will have popcorn and pizza available. Please register so we can plan for refreshments.

Sunday, August 16th from 6 to 9 PM, please join us in this cross stitch workshop where you will learn some of the history of cross stitch traditions from around the world and the basic technique of the stitches. Materials and pattern will be provided to craft your own pomegranate bookmark. We will have time to start working on the bookmark during the workshop, but likely will not finish the piece. Registration is limited to 20 participants and we are asking a $30 or more donation.

Instead, Professor Keller highlights the role Latin American governments - and everyday people throughout the region - played in shaping one of the defining moments of the Cold War. Our conversation explored her research and writing process, how the book came together, and what studying this history can teach us about U.S.-Cuba relations today.
