The countdown is officially on! In just 5 days the chutes swing open and the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West” returns to Reno.

The Reno Rodeo Association will enforce a clear bag policy at the Reno-Sparks Livestock and Events Center during the 2026 Reno Rodeo.

These are the bags that are permitted:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags or purses, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 8”x11”
** Exceptions made for diaper bags and medically necessary items after inspection.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: briefcases; backpacks, cinch bags, and f***y packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction; luggage of any kind; computer bags/cases; camera bags/cases; binocular bags/cases; or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed onto the grounds in a permissible clear bag, such as binoculars and small hand-held cameras (video cameras of any kind and professional cameras with a detachable lens are prohibited).
