Sustainable Renton

Would you believe that for nearly all of these volunteers, it was their first time serving at the Table?! We served 111 hot plates of breakfast last Saturday using rescued food!

When we only had 2 volunteers signed up last Thursday, the community answered the call and made the day a huge success! 👏

We want to give a huge thank you all of our new servers, to Tyler for constantly whipping up fresh eggs in the kitchen, Virginia for being our dish champion, and Linda and Brent for mopping the whole place after breakfast!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this program all year with your dollars, your time, and donated food and care supplies for our guests! As we go into the colder months, these resources are essential to our most vulnerable neighbors.

We want to send a HUGE thank you to the JustServe volunteers who came out to our community garden for the Renton Day of Service! This incredible group helped to transform our pathways in the garden and food forest in just two short hours!

We are grateful to have shared a beautiful Saturday with this group for the 3rd year in a row. Thank you to all who came out and who continue to support this gorgeous community space.

We are so honored to be the chosen beneficiary of this year's CHOMP fest! CHOMP is all about local and sustainable food systems! With our food gleaning program, we've already rescued nearly 160,000 pounds of food from a destiny at the landfill and redistributed it to vulnerable populations who can use it!

We'd be honored if you visited our booth! We are also asking for volunteers to help aid our market booth to help provide sustainable alternatives to everyday items and to fundraise towards our operational costs. We will also have a free upcycled craft at our booth!
