The staff (minus Chef Michelle 😭) gathered under the congregational sukkah for lunch today! This lunch is always such a wonderful reminder of what a great team we have, and how special it is to simply gather together, enjoy one another’s company, laugh, and have some fun outside of the day-to-day.

Sharing our history, both as individuals and as our community, is so important to many of us at Beth Torah.

This year, we invited Ushpizin, or guests, into our Sukkah in the form of photos, stories, jokes, and beloved memories. We remembered loved ones who are no longer living. We spoke about Jewish leaders who we looked up to who broke glass ceilings. But most importantly, we kept the memory of each of these incredible people alive while also raising money for ongoing Torah repairs!

Thank you to Andrew for bringing this wonderful program to life. We can't wait to invite even more Ushpizin into our Sukkah next year!

This past Wednesday, we had an incredible group of youth and their families join us to decorate our Sukkah!

Together, we made paper etrogim, rainbow chains, colorful artwork, beautiful flowers, and so much more. Our Sukkah is now even more colorful, warm, and inviting thanks to everyone who joined us! We can't wait to see our Sukkah filled with our community over the next week. Moadim L'Simcha and Chag Sukkot Sameach! 🍋 🌿

As we gather to observe Yom Kippur, may this sacred time of reflection and atonement bring you peace and clarity. Let us embrace the opportunity for renewal and connection with what truly matters. Wishing you and your loved ones a meaningful fast, filled with forgiveness, hope, and strength for the year ahead. G’mar Chatima Tova.

Project Isaiah, our annual High Holiday food drive, is underway, and we need your help to fill the shelves of the JFS Food Pantry.

Between now and September 22 donate unopened, unexpired, shelf-stable foods to support families across our community. We are also accepting donations of paper and plastic bags that are in good condition!

With your support, we helped JFS provide nutritional assistance to over 10,000 families last year. Let’s continue to make a difference—one donation at a time.

Reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions you may have!

Our incredible sukkah building team came together with their tools and closed-toed shoes and built our beautiful Sukkah! Thanks to the leadership of Justin Ross and our incredible team of volunteers for assembling this amazing space for us to use in a matter of a couple of weeks! Next up - the Schach!
