Happy August! I can’t believe summer is almost over!!!

I am so blessed every day! What a joy to spend my time with these magnificent, silly macaws, passing out treats and enjoying their antics!

We have many really nice birdies visiting during this busy summer holiday season. What a joy and a blessing to be able to spend time with each of them! Thank you so much for those who have trusted me to care for your beloved feathered kids!

This lovely little guy is boarding with us for Christmas. I love that he blends in with the tapestry. He’s such a little cutie pie, dunking pellets and shredding papers! Merry Christmas to his family and to all of those birdy parents out there! May you find peace and blessings during this time!…that goes for all you diva macaws and cockatoos out there! No screaming on Christmas Eve! It’s supposed to be a silent, Holy night! 🦖🦖🦖

Bunnies are one example of other types of exotics we are willing to board. We understand that bunnies need very rigid food requirements and a quiet and peaceful place to run around. House rabbits are not accustomed to being caged and enjoy hopping around the house, just so long as it’s safe from predators, cords and cables and other hazards. They are inquisitive and love to play with toys or cuddle.

We are almost always available to board your bird on holidays! Meet “Kiwi!” She’s one of our favorite regulars! Highly opinionated but so, so sweet!

Did you know that we also board other (well behaved) animals? When it comes to dogs and cats, we will only board one family’s animals at a time to reduce stress on their pet(s). This little old chihuahua has been boarding with us for many years. We sure love this little old gal!

This beautiful boy and three dogs landed on an emergency basis when their parent found her way into the hospital suddenly. Many prayers are being sent and we are offering comfort and love to these animals who watched their mom get hurt! This triton cockatoo is an absolute gem. I went to comfort him shortly after he arrived and he stuck his beak through the bars and said to me, “it’s ok.”

These spoiled little guys will be with us for a few months. I’m working on hand taming them as they came in using a step up stick but are sociable and highly motivated by pine nuts. They remind me of thing 1 and thing 2 from Dr. Seuss. 😆
