P3 AT THE SCCA NATIONAL RUNOFFS! 🏆🇺🇸

Josh Carroll showed up to Road America in full SPEC Corvette trim, running the Vitour P1 200TW street tire, and put it on the Touring 2 podium against the best in the nation.

And that’s what makes this one special.

Josh wasn’t running racing slicks. He wasn’t running a purpose-built T2 package. He was racing a full SPEC Corvette on 200-treadwear street tires against some of the fastest T2 cars in the country running Hoosier racing slicks.

Putting a full-trim SPEC Corvette on the podium at Nationals is no small feat and says a lot about the car, the driver, and just how capable the Vitour P1 is when pushed at the highest level.

Huge congratulations to Josh Carroll and everyone involved. What a way to represent SPEC Corvette on the national stage.

13 Spec Corvettes. One very competitive T2 field.

Josh Carroll leads the Spec Corvette qualifiers with a 2:26.002 putting the #35 P3 overall among the entire T2 field at the Sports Car Club of America National Runoffs.

The field is set…Now it’s time to race at Road America .

Matt Jensen is officially joining the Spec Corvette Runoffs for his first race with the full field. We’re glad to have him here and ready to be part of the action.

The drivers. The cars. The biggest stage of the season. Spec Corvette has arrived at Road America for the Runoffs.

Now it’s time to see who puts it all together when it matters most.

🏁 SPEC Corvette is showing up BIG at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs!

This year, 14 of the 23 cars entered in Touring 2 are SPEC Corvettes — more than 60% of the entire T2 field.

And what makes that number even more exciting is that we’re missing an entire region. None of our Florida-region SPEC Corvette racers are making the trip this year. With the participation we have there, a full turnout from all of our regions could have easily put SPEC Corvette over 20 cars at the Runoffs.

For a program that started with a pretty simple idea — build an affordable, competitive Corvette racing platform that people actually want to race — it’s awesome to see this many cars making the trip to Road America.

More cars. More competition. More people racing. That’s good for SPEC Corvette, good for T2, and ultimately good for SCCA Club Racing.

We also know there are a lot of longtime T2 racers who have invested years into this class, and we’re excited to race alongside them. The goal isn’t to take anything away from what T2 has been — it’s to bring more racers to the grid and hopefully help make Touring racing stronger.

And one of the coolest parts: the SPEC Corvette cars will be doing it on Vitour 200TW street tires, competing alongside traditional T2 builds running race tires.

14 SPEC Corvettes. 23 T2 cars. And we’re still missing an entire region. 🇺🇸🏁
