NASP UC Riverside
Native American Student Programs NASP functions as a liaison for the Indian community and reservations.
The Native American Student Programs (NASP) office of UC Riverside provides educational, cultural, and social support for American Indian students. This office coordinates a variety of activities designed to expand educational awareness for American Indian students as well as the campus community. NASP encourages the development and enhancement of leadership and interpersonal communication skills through active participation. Student participation makes it possible to plan and implement innovative programs, which promote and educate the campus and local community about the uniqueness of American Indians. In addition, it provides outreach activities and recruits American Indian students to the University of California, Riverside. The program provides the following services: advising, such as academic and personal, financial aid assistance, cultural workshops, forums, discussions, & lectures, a Native American Higher Education support network, and American Indian outreach and recruitment.

Today, we honor and celebrate California Native American Day and the continuity of cultures, histories, knowledge, and contributions of California’s Native peoples.
California Tribal Nations are vibrant, living communities whose traditions, languages, relationships to land, and cultural knowledge continue to thrive. Today we celebrate Native resilience, learn from California Native communities, and uplift the voices of Native students, families, elders, and future generations.
Happy California Native American Day! ✨

It's almost California Native American Day!! UCR students, faculty, and staff are invited to join NASP at 229 Costo Hall (NASP Center) on Friday to learn about the significance of oak trees and acorns to California Native people by helping us make our oak tree abundant with acorns.
