What a great day at Recovery Happens 2026!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to join us at Fairmount Park on September 25. It was a day full of laughter, good food, dancing, smiles, and, most importantly, community. From the dance contests and great food to the incredible resources and conversations, it was amazing to see so many people come together to celebrate recovery and the journeys that make it possible.
If you or someone you know is ready to begin a recovery journey, help is available. Call the CARES Access and Referral line at 800-499-3008 or visit us online at ruhealth.org/behavioral-health.
Now that school is back in session, traffic around campuses is picking up again — and so are the risks. In collaboration with the California Office of Traffic Safety, RUHS (can leave it at RUHS or put in your specific section) is taking part in the Back to School: Sharing the Road safety campaign to remind families, students and drivers that everyone plays a role in keeping our streets safe.
Parents: Yield to pedestrians, slow down in school zones, and stay alert during drop‑off and pick‑up.
Students: Keep your eyes up, watch for turning cars and use crosswalks.
Drivers: Expect more foot traffic, obey posted speed limits and put the phone down.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. One moment of distraction can change a life.
