We had Paramedic Matthew Massaro from CHS Mobile Integrated Healthcare visit our East Avenue Campus to teach us about the Orange Circle and the vital role medics play in keeping our students and our community safe.
They also brought along a collection of emergency tools — giving our students a hands‑on look at the equipment used in real‑world situations. It was an engaging, eye‑opening visit that helped our class understand how medics bring calm, skill, and readiness to every call.
Thank you for a great visit and thank you for your service to our community! 🚑

Congratulations to Physical Therapist Laurin Furlong , our latest Mary Cariola Center Employee of the Month !
Laurin has gone above and beyond time and time again to find new and creative equipment for our students. She turned a Special Tomato Chair (a brand of pediatric adaptive seating and positioning equipment, designed for children with complex needs) into a power wheelchair and most recently researched, purchased, and presented an in-service on a whole-body vibration plate. She spent countless hours learning about the equipment and how it could benefit our students.
Laurin is an amazing PT whose dedication, creativity, and willingness to share her knowledge make our entire department better. We are lucky to have her on our team! Congratulations Laurin! 💛💙
Curiousity erupted with the preschoolers in Special Education Teacher Danielle Kearsley's room! 🌋
Starting the week with music and movement . Students in Courtney Denmark’s Special Education class explored rhythm using Boomwhackers — color coded musical tubes that make every beat accessible, engaging, and fun. We love seeing our learners shine through hands on creativity inspired by Classroom Aide Sanaria Robinson.🎼
