A little BTS of the tea towels we just printed and dropped off your your purchasing pleasure at p e p p e r m i n t this afternoon.
Yes we printed these babies on a 1940s proof press here at the shop. And this is how we did it. Yup there's more efficient ways to print on fabric but no one's ever accused me of doing things the easy way.

Over the last few weeks we've mixed 6 custom ink colors, and printed 7 beautifully hand carved linoblocks from Joanna Walters for this amazing series of bookmarks.
Lovingly letterpress printed on our 1937 Vandercook Proof Press on Reich Paper Savoy 118 # cotton paper. Trimmed on our 1960s(? Maybe) Challenge Paper Cutter. And Now Available on Jopey Dopes website!

Happy Type High Day! Thays right, it’s .918 Day! .918 inches is the height type and cuts need to be to be printed on a letterpress here in America.
