THIS. When I felt led to make the “Move your feet” merch I had hopes it’d prompt conversations and encounters such as this. Thank you Lord! 🙌🏽

Move Your Feet. Isaiah 30:21

Funny how intertwined things are. I was flying to Orlando this morning, stressed and running behind. All I wanted to do on the plane was sleep. It wasn’t the most comfortable flight but 2 men sitting on the row beside me started a conversation about faith based on the tshirt I threw on this morning. The shirt was made by Amanda Riggan, http://AmandaRiggan.com, which I bought at the Mike Doty event this year. The conversation not only went into faith but evolved into a conversation of what do I do. I began to share my story about Gavin and Less Than Three Foundation. The gentleman that struck up the conversation then proceeds to tell me that his 17yr old son was a victim and was struggling with testifying against the man that was extorting him. I was able to pass off a Tomorrow Needs You challenge coin and give some advice on how to have the conversation with his son.

To summarize……
Due to a tragedy in York county that happened with Detective Mike Doty in 2018, triggered Amanda to start a non profit supporting first responders. Her advocacy and her faith has made such an impact across the country with Hungry Heroes. At this last event, a small idea Amanda had to sell tshirts with a Bible verse on it and I happened to purchase one. This morning in my rush, I happen to wear it and it not only triggered a conversation about faith and grace but allowed me to share my mission. In doing so, it may now very well give the courage to a young man that can testify against a sextortionist and take one off the streets.

When you step back, it all boils down to “don’t anticipate, participate”. You will be where God wants you. < 3

Every morning I read this note Ryleigh made me when she was little. I have it by my coffee pot, so I see it daily.

The child who had grew up with me and saw every version good and bad of every season of my adulthood. She’s all I’ve ever known.

People talk about how proud you are when your child leaves for college, and becomes exactly who you prayed they’d become. And they’re right.

But they don’t talk about the absolute heart break, the grief that comes when your child leaves home. You question your purpose, it’s quiet, the routines are gone, it’s just you.

Although you’re incredibly proud, your heart quietly mourns a season you’ll never get back

This little piece of paper reminds me every day that although seasons change…she will always be my little girl. If you’ve felt like this you’re not alone, to this very day I’m still struggling.

Serving has always been what fills my cup.

Most days, that means serving our nation’s First Responders, Military, and Veterans through Hungry Heroes It’s a mission I’ll never stop being grateful for.

Recently stepped away for something personal.

To serve the youth at Camp CH-YO-CA “Sportsman” camp. This week wasn’t about Hungry Heroes—it was simply about answering a different opportunity to serve.

There’s something powerful about being surrounded by worship, watching the next generation boldly praise our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and serving alongside people who love Him. It was exactly what my heart needed.

Serving isn’t just what I do… it’s who I strive to be. Whether it’s feeding a police officer during a long shift, a veteran, or a student at camp, I pray God continues to use me wherever He opens a door.

We all have different callings, but we’re all called to serve.

This picture embodies the daughter I’ve raised. She is the most genuine, purest soul I know. She lives for Jesus, she’s bold about her faith and she thrives on sharing the goodness of our Lord and Savior. On days that seem tougher than others, or if I question life and how I’ve done..I’m reminded of Ryleigh, (just like she’s pictured here) and her heart for the lord and all I can do is cry tears of joy. Thank you Lord.
She’s serving at Clayton King Ministries all summer here’s the first night captured. 💜
