Rolla York Rite

President William McKinley dressed in Masonic regalia of a Knight Templar. McKinley decided to join Freemasonry after witnessing an act of fraternal charity between two Masons, a Union physician and a wounded Confederate private, during the Civil War. (More on his initiation in a future post.) Like other Masons during this period, he joined other appendant bodies including the Royal Arch and Knights Templar. The latter being Canton Commandery No. 38, Ohio.

A great evening of fellowship and togetherness. Rolla Chapter #32 welcomed MEC James McManigle, Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Missouri for his official visit. We enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Companion Ikie Bonebrake. Afterwards conducted some business then received the Grand High Priest in due form. He provided words of wisdom and encouragement. “Together, We All Accomplish More”.

Many Awards were received at the Grand York Right of Missouri Annual Sessions in St. Louis.

Sir Knight Johnnie E. Bryant received the Honor Commandery Award for his year as Eminent Commander.

Christian Jessen received the Knight Templar Cross of Honor Award from the Grand Encampment.

Melissa Woodruff received the Lady of the Council Award from the General Grand Council.

Gracie Bonebrake received the Companion of the Temple Award from the Grand Encampment.

Jessica Estright received the Chapter Sweetheart Award from the General Grand Chapter, & the Companion of the Temple Award from the Grand Encampment.

It was especially nice to see the ladies recognized for their service to the York Rite. Congrats to all Award winners!

Rolla Commandery No. 59, Knights Templar was well represented at the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Missouri's Annual Conclave, held in St. Louis, MO on 06-11-2026.

Sir Knight Michael J. Estright was installed as Grand Sword Bearer for the 2026 - 2027 term. Sir Knight Jeffrey Y. Militti was installed as Grand Prelate. In addition, Sir Knights Gary R. Woodruff & Johnnie E. Bryant were installed as Regional Grand Commanders.
