Professional Learning Spotlight: Deepening Support for Students with Down Syndrome
Continuous learning is at the heart of strong educational support! Jamie Ruch, Extensive Support Needs Consultant with the SEMO RPDC office in Cape Girardeau, and Abby Clinton, Extensive Support Needs Consultant with the South Central RPDC office in Rolla, recently attended a specialized two-day continuing education program at the Gateway Down Syndrome office in St. Louis, MO, to earn designation as Down Syndrome Education Specialists.
This intensive training provided deep dives into tailored tools, targeted instructional strategies, and evidence-based frameworks designed to ensure students with Down syndrome receive the richest, most effective educational experience possible. Jamie and Abby are excited to bring these updated strategies and practical insights directly into the classrooms, educators, and districts they support!
