This is what we walked into on a recent service call.
Years of wiring, previous repairs, splices and modifications — but the building still needed its intercom working.
Replacing the entire system isn’t always the answer. Sometimes the job is to trace it, diagnose it and repair it. That’s where experience matters.

Just a guy relaxing on his patio… watching himself relax on his patio. 😂 Apparently I’m both the homeowner AND the security department.
Jokes aside, video security isn’t something you think about after something happens. Proper camera placement, clear identification, full property coverage, and reliable recording can make the difference between knowing exactly what happened and having absolutely nothing to work with.
Security cameras aren’t decoration. Install them like you actually expect to need them someday.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have achieved maximum security… for the building across the street. 😂
Cameras 15 feet up, aimed at God knows what, junction boxes hanging out, conduit doing the scenic route, and facial identification apparently considered optional. You’ll get a beautiful shot of someone’s bald spot entering the building while keeping excellent surveillance on passing traffic 😂

From outdated to timeless.
We recently upgraded this historic Boston property from an aging audio-only entry system, we install a temporary Mircom phone entry panel and then we finished with the modern Comelit Roma video intercom with smartphone app access, resident keypad entry, and USPS postal access.
To preserve the character of the building, we designed and installed a custom polished brass backplate that complements the property’s original architecture while bringing its entry technology into the modern era.
The result: improved security, greater convenience, and a beautiful entrance that looks like it was always meant to be there.
