Atlanta Rowing Club
Founded in 1974 as a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization, this club is a volunteer based organization,
The club is a volunteer based organization and depends on the efforts of its members in order to be able to provide all of them with the facilities and the equipment they need to pursue their rowing aspirations. It takes quite a few good souls willing to take time away from work, family and sundry projects to keep all those little (and some not so little...) things in place that allow everyone else in the club to enjoy their rowing. If you're thinking of joining us (or if you already have...), please be willing to chip in - and don't just expect those "things" to be provided for you. The ARC is also the only rowing club in Atlanta for those beyond high school or college age. That means that, unlike in some other cities where one can find rowing clubs with various objectives, we need to cover a wide spectrum of "rowing worlds" within our own club - our members have a great variety of rowing concepts and expectations, ranging from those who simply want to enjoy the serenity of the river while watching the ducks and the herons, to those who pursue the eternal search for them bubbles under the hull, or even those who have national team aspirations. That has consequences for the equipment we need, the money we spend, and the skills and speeds we exhibit on the water, among other things - being patient, respectful and understanding with each other is the key to making this club work for all members.

Any future move will be for 2027, and we'll share details before this year's regatta. Please hold off on booking hotels for 2027 until you hear from us, so nobody ends up with a reservation they don't need.

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the many lives forever changed by that day.
We remember those who lost their lives, the families and friends who continue to carry their memories, and the first responders and everyday people who showed incredible courage in the face of tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We honour the lives that were lost and the stories that continue to be carried forward.
"No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time.”
- Virgil
We will never forget.

Harmful algal blooms (or HABs) are becoming more common due to climate change and increasing nutrient pollution in freshwater. HABs occur when cyanobacteria grow out of control and produce toxins that can harm people, pets, and wildlife.
They look like bright green, yellow, or blue pond scum and can make people and pets very sick through skin contact, ingestion, or inhalation. This summer, it’s important to stay away from discolored water and to supervise children and pets that may be playing in shallow coves.
If you suspect a HAB, please document the exact location, take photos/videos, and report it to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division or the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. You can also report it to CRK via our hotline program. Learn more at https://chattahoochee.org/our-work/habs/ and help spread the word by sharing this information in your community.
