ROCK RUGBY

🔥 ROCK ALUMNI REPRESENTING! 🦁🏉

Three Rock Rugby alumni were in action this weekend as Clayton Means (former Rock center), Andre Greenup (former Rock wing), and Gavin Richards (former Rock flyhalf) were part of the Austin Huns premier team that competed at the Men’s 7s National championship in Madison, WI.

The boys did Texas proud! 🤘🏉

💥 Day 1: Topped their group
💥 Day 2: Finished 7th amongst the Top 16 men’s teams in the country!

From Rock Rugby to the National stage — these boys continue to show what hard work, talent, and a little Rock grit can do. 🦁🔥

Proud of our Rock alumni! 👊

In a surprise moment at Sunday’s banquet, Rock Rugby pulled off the classic blindside and inducted Coach Mark into the Rock Rugby Hall of Fame.

Our favorite fiery Welshman has been a longtime coach and board member, and runs our digital and social media.

So now you know where all those quirky posts come from :-)

Congratulations to our Rock Rugby college scholarship recipients (and soon-to-be UTSA Roadrunners) Joaquin Castillo and Xavier Bellow. Both young men have been with us since their freshman year (Joaquin since middle school), and it has been a privilege to witness their development as both players and young leaders. We will miss them, but we look forward to cheering them on as they take the next step in their journeys.

We are also incredibly appreciative to both the Hale and Lester families for their generosity in providing these scholarships and opportunities to our young men, and for everything they have contributed to the program over the years.

Shout out to our high school Lions and congratulations to our award winners at last night’s banquet

Congratulations to our middle school end of season award winners, and to all our Young Lions on a fantastic season.
