Saco Meals Program

Thanks to our meal sponsors Lighthouse Credit Union and Ready Seafood and to the S**o Meals cooking team for preparing a delicious creamy chicken pasta with broccoli/cauliflower. A salad was served along with assorted pastries for dessert. Special thanks to the Rotary Club of S**o Bay - #26791 for having a team of Rotarians help serve the meal and for donating a take-out meal of Baked Ziti for all of tonight’s guests. Thank you!! And thanks to all the volunteers that help set up the hall, prep, serve, and cleanup! Another great meal provided to our wonderful community!

Big thanks to Union Church, BP, Maine for sponsoring last night’s meal and having teams to prepare and serve a guest-favorite, Meatloaf Monday!! Kudo’s to S**o Meals Coordinator Dorothy for baking her chocolate chip zucchini cake recipe for dessert! Yummy! We continue to be blessed with a full team of volunteers to help setup, serve, and cleanup. Over 150 meals were prepared!!

Another great day at S**o Meals Program! Thanks to WEX for sponsoring tonight’s meal and for the KofC 12941 team for cooking up a delicious chicken pot pie! We are very grateful for Chad Williams, Sr VP/WEX, for bringing his team to help volunteer and serve our guests and for the generous donation of food and pantry items needed in our program! Our stage was filled! Thank you!! Special thanks to our volunteers Doug and Jim who travel down to Spiller Farms in Wells each week during the growing season to pick up fresh produce for us to share! Thanks to all the volunteers that help set up the hall, prep, serve, and clean up you are the best!

Thanks to our meal sponsor S**o and Biddeford Savings and the team from Paquin & Carroll Insurance that helped prepare and serve over 140 meatball & cheese subs!! The meal started with a salad, was served with chips, and an ice cream sandwich for dessert! Big thanks to our Monday delivery team that helped unload and store our morning deliveries and those that helped to prep, setup hall, serve, and cleanup!! Another great community meal full of smiles and thank yous from our guests! 💕

A delicious meal of glazed baked ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans was served with a starter salad, applesauce, and assorted bakery items. Over 140 meals were served! We appreciate the hard work of all the S**o Meals Program volunteers that are the heart of this program!!

The meal included a fresh salad and Dorothy’s home-made banana-choc chip cake for dessert! The hall was packed with guests all enjoying our free community meal and lots of fellowship and socialization! Great to be a part of such a wonderful community of volunteers and business partners!
