Maps Credit Union
We believe in lifelong learning โ not only about money and finances but in all areas of life. Maps Credit Union was founded by a group of 17 educators in 1935.
Since then it has grown to offer a full slate of financial services to more than 50,000 members who live or work in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley. We are federally insured by the NCUA.

๐ฉThis monthโs Donuts at the Dot looked a little different!๐ฉ
We welcomed Caleb Roberts, Stakeholder Relations & Engagement Specialist for Salem-Keizer Public Schools, to talk with us about the many ways community members can get involved in our local schools. And, with the new school year beginning Sept. 8 and 9, itโs a great time to learn more about volunteering.๐
Volunteers might spend their time helping in a classroom, chaperoning a field trip, pitching in at a book fair, being a reading buddy, or supporting a school event. There are plenty of ways to get involved, and you donโt have to be a parent to lend your time, talents, and energy. Salem-Keizer offers volunteer opportunities for different interests, schedules, and levels of commitment.
So, thank you, Caleb, for stopping by to share more about the volunteer program and some of the other ways the SKPS team is bringing people together to support local students and schools.๐

Last weekend, we were honored to be first-time sponsors of the Clatsop County Fair, and what a time we had!๐ค Maps employees from Salem, Seaside, and Astoria volunteered, helping with everything from Friday night's concert (featuring Kameron Marlow and the Kruse Brothers) to Saturday's Junior Market Auction, where local 4-H and FFA youth sold their livestock projects. Maps volunteers were proud to be the facilitators, processing more than $450,000 in sales. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's fair such a memorable celebration of community and agriculture!๐ซถ

Heads up, South Salem members: Our branch on South Commercial will be closed this Saturday, July 25, as we get ready for the next phase of construction. We will reopen on Monday, July 27, at 9:30 AM.
Only the South Salem Branch will be closed. The exterior ATM and drive-up ATM will remain available, and other Maps branches with regular Saturday hours will be open as usual.
Thanks for your patience as we work to improve the branch experience!

๐ Meet our Community Giveback Employee of the Month, Julia Reitzer! ๐
Julia, a beloved member of the Maps team and Branch Manager at our West Salem Branch, brings enthusiasm and heart to everything she doesโwhether she's mentoring future community leaders or volunteering to launch the T-shirt cannon. ๐
As last month's Community Giveback Employee, Julia chose to donate her $100 award to CASA of Marion County, an organization that advocates for children in foster care. It's a cause so close to her heart, she even joined their nonprofit board!
"Community service is something I genuinely enjoy because it gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others," says Julia. "Whether it's one hour or an entire day, I've seen firsthand how even a small investment of time can have a lasting impact. Giving back brings a sense of purpose and connection, and I truly appreciate that Maps not only supports community involvement, but actively encourages us to get out there and strengthen the communities where we work and live."
Thank you, Julia, for bringing your energy, compassion, and willingness to say "yes" wherever you're needed. We're proud to have you representing Maps in our community. ๐
The first Wilsonville Rotary Concert in the Park did not disappoint! ๐ถ And...we're just getting started! We'll be back under the Maps tent for the next three concerts with more giveaways, exclusive offers, and friendly faces. So, be sure to stop by and say hi - we'd love to meet you! โ๏ธ๐
Well, todayโs lunch break looked a little different at Maps!๐ญ๐ง๐
In honor of National Hot Dog Day, our Facilities team fired up the grill while Marketing celebrated the inaugural launch of our new snow cone machine! (And, weโre happy to report that Maps Blue Raspberry was the runaway favorite flavor. ๐)
Itโs the little moments like these that make a workplace feel like a community.๐ฅน๐ซถ
