U.S. Supreme Court rejects Trump's mail-in voting limits as November election nears Gov. Gavin Newsom celebrated the Supreme Court's decision shooting down President Trump's plan to restrict mail-in voting before the November election.

In California, we trust voters. Today’s Supreme Court decision means California and democracy rise above Trump and Republican attempts to silence and suppress.

It means ballots will be delivered, on time, to every eligible voter. Because Californians run California’s elections — not the White House.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger and the countless acts of courage, compassion, and service that followed.

In the aftermath of the attacks, California answered the call, sending emergency personnel across the country to NYC to assist with response and recovery efforts. They joined thousands of Americans who came together in one of our nation’s darkest hours to help however they could.

Today, we remember those we lost, honor those who served, and carry forward the spirit of unity that brought our nation together.
