You made this possible.

Thank you to the more than 1,400 donors who helped permanently conserve the first 200 acres along the Tuckertown Reservoir, ensuring these lands publicly accessible forever. Thank you for being part of this incredible milestone.

While today is worth celebrating, the work isn't finished. More than 3,800 acres of privately owned but publicly accessible land remains at risk of being sold for development.

The work continues. Visit SaveTuckertown.org to learn more.

A special thank you to our corporate sponsors for their incredible support of the Save Tuckertown efforts: onX Hunt, MeatEater, Coca-Cola Consolidated, Duke Energy, The Hunting Public, North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation, and the North Carolina State Chapter NWTF.

Is this a sign? 🐢

When you start spotting this many turtles in the field, we have to wonder if they’re trying to tell us something.

We’ll take it as a good sign for the wildlife calling these conserved lands home!

A forest full of trees doesn’t always mean quality wildlife habitat.

The trees you plant are only the beginning. Without proper management, even well-intentioned plantings can lack the diverse understory plants that provide food and cover for wildlife.

Happy National Intern Day!

This summer, we've been fortunate to have two outstanding interns, Nils and Andi, as part of the Three Rivers Land Trust team.

From assisting with stewardship projects and supporting conservation initiatives to jumping in wherever they were needed, they've made a meaningful impact during their time with TRLT.

Thank you, Nils and Andi, for your hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to conservation. We appreciate everything you've done this summer and can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

The quality of our state’s natural resources begins with the decisions that we make today. Whether through policy decisions made in Raleigh, local boards and commissions considering development related matters, or private landowners considering whether to conserve or develop their land, each choice shapes the places that make North Carolina special.

On World Nature Conservation Day, we’re reminded that conservation ensures a long-term future for all North Carolina’s natural resources.

With your support, TRLT will continue to expand public lands, save family farms, protect local waters and wildlife habitat, and to conserve important national defense lands around Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall.
