Yesterday, 25 second and fourth graders planted something for the first time in their lives! 🌱 Some even used a water hose for the first time… It was empowering and pure joy!

Along the way, we got a hands-on review of math, science, and more in a real-world setting. Plus, being outside is awesome right now! 🙌🏽☀️

Thank you to everyone who helps make these experiences possible for our youth.

If you’d like to help us keep this work going, consider making a donation, sharing our work, or joining us at our Harvest Dinner November 11/14. Every bit of support helps us reach more kids and we are all grateful for it! 🙏🏽

Super productive day in the ! 🌱💪🏽

We planted onions, cabbage, and lettuce for “salad bowls”. 🥬
We propagated more spider plants and strawberry runners for the plant sale. We harvested tomatoes… and pruned and collected seeds.🌼

Not too bad for a Tuesday morning!
Oh! And the peas and collard seeds we planted last week are sprouting.
🌱😊🌱

Wanna know a way to give someone hope?… To show them they matter and can make a difference in the world?…
Plant some seeds. Check back in a week. 🌱

Last week we made breakfast samplers at North Rowan Middle School. 🍎🍌🫐🥬 They all loved them! Students are working on their own recipes to try next time we return.
