Danville San Ramon Rotary

What does 20,000 meals look like? A whole lot of teamwork! 💙

A few snapshots from an incredible day of service with Kids Against Hunger. Danville San Ramon Rotary joined forces with San Ramon Valley Rotary and our awesome Interact students to pack 20,000 meals for families in Venezuela.

From assembling and packing to sealing and boxing – everyone jumped in and worked together.

We love seeing Rotarians and Interactors side-by-side, putting Service Above Self into action and making an impact far beyond our local community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

Service in action! 🛠️🏡

Yesterday, September 26, our Danville San Ramon Rotary Home Team was out in the community lending a hand where it was needed most.

Our crew visited 6 homes and tackled everything from drywall patching and adjusting shower doors to landscaping and other projects around the home.

A big thank you to the 8 Rotarians who volunteered, our dedicated neighbor Bill Jennings, and Interact students Myiesha Shah and Rithika Kalasapudi for spending part of their day serving alongside us.

We were also happy to have Kyle Levy from the Dougherty Valley/San Ramon Rotary Club join us. Thank you, Kyle!

These are the kinds of days that remind us what Rotary is all about – showing up, working together, and making a difference right here in our own community.

Service that continues to make an impact. 💙

On September 24, members of Danville San Ramon Rotary visited Trinity Center in Walnut Creek – an organization our Rotary community has supported for many years.

Our connection to Trinity Center goes back to its beginnings in 2012, when longtime San Ramon Rotarian Horace Crawford and his wife, Peggy, were among the volunteers who helped ensure critical services for unhoused community members continued without interruption.

That legacy of service continues today.

During our visit, members toured the facility, learned more about Trinity Center’s programs, brought donated clothing and other items, saw the computer lab in action, and handed out Target gift cards to Trinity Center members.

Over the years, our Rotary partnership has helped support computers, transportation, gift cards and, most recently, a computer lab used for financial and technology literacy, job skills development and job placement.

A big thank you to Club Member Elaine Schroth for organizing this meaningful visit, along with Minoo Mina, Mark Kramer, Karen McNamara and Melanie Prole for participating.

We’re proud to continue a Rotary legacy that began more than a decade ago – and to see firsthand how service, partnership and consistency can create lasting impact.

A few highlights from another great Danville San Ramon Rotary meeting! 💙💛

We loved hearing from the Cal High Interact Club President and Communications Vice President, as well as several of our DSR members who recently returned from Africa and shared more about their experience.

We also had the opportunity to highlight two of our grant recipients – Shelter Inc. and Trinity Center – and learn more about the meaningful work they’re doing in our local community.

So much of Rotary is about connection, service, and learning from one another – and this meeting was a wonderful example of all three!

On September 19, members of Danville San Ramon Rotary volunteered at GLIDE Memorial Church, helping serve lunch and create a warm, welcoming experience for those facing food insecurity.

Our Rotarians jumped in wherever needed – assisting with meal service, food prep, bussing tables, cleanup, and more.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to serve alongside one another and make a difference beyond our local community. Small acts of service can have a meaningful impact!
