Some spaces are designed to make you stop and look twice.

From the dramatic floor-to-ceiling tile to the contrast of the dark shower and warm finishes, every material in this primary bath was chosen to work together while still making its own statement.

And that freestanding tub? The perfect finishing touch. 🛀

Custom doesn’t always mean choosing from more options.

Sometimes it means creating something that doesn’t exist yet.

For this home, our client hand-created individual tiles for her backsplash—each one representing a little piece of the life and family this home is being built around.

Because the best custom homes aren’t defined by a particular style.

They’re defined by the people who live in them.

And this is exactly the kind of detail that makes a house impossible to duplicate.

A quieter home starts inside the walls.

For this client, added insulation was used specifically for noise dampening — helping soften everyday sounds like TVs, conversations, laundry, plumbing, and activity between rooms.

A small detail you may never see, but you’ll definitely appreciate.

That’s the beauty of building custom.

Stone. Wood. Brass.

Three completely different materials that somehow belong together.

We love a home that feels collected instead of matched — where natural textures, warm finishes, and a few unexpected details give it character without trying too hard.

The Custom Home Journey | Part 4: Framing

This is one of those stages where everything starts to feel real.

The plans you’ve looked at for months are suddenly standing in front of you. You can walk through the rooms, see the rooflines take shape, and finally start to understand how the home will actually feel.

There may be a little organized chaos along the way, but every brace, opening and measurement has a purpose.

The vision is officially taking shape.

A good day for a roofline. đź‘€

Standing seam metal is going on, and this one is making quite the statement.

There are certain stages of a build that completely change the way a home looks overnight. This is definitely one of them.

We’ll take this view.

The best builds aren’t the ones where nothing ever goes wrong.

They’re the ones where the details are managed, the right questions are asked, and problems are handled before they have a chance to derail the project.

Building a custom home takes hundreds of decisions and dozens of people working toward the same vision. Keeping all of that connected takes planning, communication, experience — and a whole lot of attention to detail.

That’s the work behind the work.

And when it’s done well, the result is a home that feels exactly like it was meant to.

We love a good “why not?” moment.
Patterned stair risers? Absolutely.

📝 Did you know?

The primary difference between fixed price vs. cost plus builders is how the final construction cost is determined. A fixed-price contract establishes an agreed-upon contract price before construction, while a cost-plus contract charges the homeowner for the project's actual costs plus an additional builder fee or markup.
