Our 2018 film The Artist & the Great Bear will screen at the The Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s new Film Center, 916 State St. Santa Barbara. December 5th between 5:30 & 7:00 PM the 23 min film will screen evey half hour with Q&A to follow. The film profiles Santa Barbara Artist Patti Jacquemain and her quest to protect wildlife through her Creek Spirit foundation.

Wildfire is on the western side of the Sierra but the winds are driving the smoke over the crest. It has settled this afternoon around Mammoth Mountain and screens the Minarets beyond.

Our film, Carrizo Plain - A Sense of Place will be the discussion focus during an interview this Friday, Oct. 16 from 10 - 11 am on "Art & Antiques,” a radio show in Santa Barbara hosted by Elizabeth Stewart. The film was produced for the Museum of Art & Nature and is currently screening online through Sunday as part of the film festival.

The interview will air LIVE 10 - 11 am Friday; repeats Friday evening 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday morning from 11 am to noon.

Spring is the time to experience the austere beauty of Death Valley. Yet another place that naturally lends itself to socially distancing. I’d be inclined make the trip if it wasn’t for all the inevitable human interactions between here and there that we’ve been told to avoid.
