One year ago, February 5th, I put down the thing that was quietly taking me out.

Kratom is often marketed like a “natural supplement.”
A wellness tool.
A harmless plant.

But what I was using wasn’t mild — it was 7-OH, the most potent compound in kratom products.

It changed me.

Seizures.
Panic.
Tremors.
Blackouts.
A version of me my loved ones didn’t recognize.
