BayCon

October’s lit up, chooms—and BayCon is running the circuit!

We’re hitting stops across the Bay Area all month, spreading intel on BayCon 2027: Night City Rising. Find our crew, grab the download, and learn what we’re building for next July!

Writers. Artists. Hackers. Rebels. Dreamers. The future doesn’t belong to the corporations.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜

This year, BayCon is proud to support The Trevor Project, whose mission is to end su***de among LGBTQ+ young people and provide crisis support when it’s needed most.

If you’re able, please join us in supporting their work through BayCon’s fundraising page. Every contribution helps The Trevor Project continue providing free, confidential crisis services and support to LGBTQ+ youth.

🏳️‍🌈 Donate or share our fundraiser:

Together, our community can help make sure LGBTQ+ young people know that support is available and that they do not have to face a crisis alone.

If you are an LGBTQ+ young person who is struggling or thinking about su***de, The Trevor Project is available 24/7:

Prior to 2007, when she came to work for EFF, Eva worked in security and IT in Silicon Valley and earned degrees in Political Science and International Relations from SFSU. Her work is primarily focused on providing privacy and security for vulnerable populations around the world. To that end, she has applied the combination of her political science and technical background to everything from organizing EFF’s Tor Relay Challenge, to writing privacy and security training materials (including Surveillance Self Defense and the Digital First Aid Kit), and publishing research on malware in Syria, Vietnam, Lebanon, and Kazakhstan. Since 2018, she has worked on addressing the digital privacy and security needs of survivors of domestic abuse. She is also a co-founder of the Coalition Against Stalkerware.
