Espanola Valley Opera Guild - EVOG

EVOC held their annual Potluck Tailgate at the Santa Fe Opera on August 22 and it was a magical evening that continued with the performance of The Magic Flute. Monsoon rains threatened in the distance but spared us on the Opera grounds. Everyone put their gourmet touches on their shared dishes and after dinner fun included a musical Kazoo "name that tune" contest. Much fun was had by all.

We had a great attendance and perfect weather on Tuesday, June 30 for EVOC’s annual Youth Night Dessert Reception at Twomey Terrace. Children and their families from the Pueblo de Abiquiu Library & Cultural Center, Moving Arts Española, the Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera and the Oasis of Peace youth group participated in this festive celebration before seeing The Magic Flute. Thanks to all of the Board members who made and served homemade cakes and cookies, poured sparkling cider and handed out special party favors.

Thanks to everyone who attended our April 14th Spring Dinner and Lecture at La Fonda del Sol. Tom Franks gave an enlightening and entertaining talk about The Magic Flute and we were all touched by the aria performance by Alex Esquibel.
