For one evening, Wild Feather Gallery glances away from the Gulf. "Beyond 30A" presents the artwork Zach Jones has created far from home. From Africa’s Maasai Mara, to the unforgiving backcountry of Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, to Costa Rica, where the rainforests hide the world’s most colorful birds. Fewer know what moves beyond the shoreline.

Along the rare coastal dune lakes, through the scrub and marsh, Creation stirs—wings over the water, quiet eyes in the grass, life that most visitors never slow down long enough to see.

I spend my days searching for these fleeting moments in the Florida sunshine, and sharing them with you is what fulfills me.

There is a kind of rarity that hides in plain sight.

You've biked past them a thousand times. Launched a paddleboard at first light. Watched the sun sink behind them without a second thought. To us, they're simply part of the landscape—part of home.

But coastal dune lakes are among the rarest waters on Earth. Only five places have them: Oregon, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, and our own stretch of 30A. Fifteen lakes, cradled between the dunes and the Gulf, where freshwater and saltwater meet at the edge of the sand. Most of the world will live an entire life and never once lay eyes on such a thing.

We live among them.
