Buddy was seen TODAY AROUND 5pm on the EAST SIDE OF CR 83 between the entrance for Point Washington state park and HWY 98.

BOLO -LOST DOG 👀 🐕

We need your help! This dog, his name is Buddy, got loose from the dog park late yesterday afternoon in SRB. His last known location, per his owner, is CR 83S close to US98.

If anyone sees this dog, please comment or tag us so we can let the owner know too! His momma has been frantically looking for him.

If you see him, please do not chase- he is likely in survival mode and will run.

OUTSIDE FIRE ALERT! 6/8/26

3 PM ALERT: Precautionary evacuations related to Joy Lane and Indian Woman Road have been lifted as of 3 PM. No structures have been damaged and no injuries have been reported.

The fire is at 85% containment and reached approximately 3 acres. The Florida Forest Service remains on-scene improving containment lines and handling the fire investigation.

Smoke may remain visible in the area throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday.

2 PM ALERT: South Walton Fire District, the Florida Forest Service Chipola District, Walton County Emergency Management, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office is responding to an outside fire in the area of Joy Lane and Indian Woman Road in Santa Rosa Beach on June 8.

Fire crews and deputies on scene have evacuated affected residences in the area Joy Lane and Indian Woman Road as a precautionary measure. Forestry has multiple resources on the ground to manage and establish containment lines.

No injuries have been reported. We will work with our partner agencies to provide further updates as they become available.
