✏️ Virtual Handwriting Tutoring : πŸ“Accepting Students Worldwide : 🧠 Camps, Workshops, Clubs

Most people think a handwriting assessment is just watching a kid write.
It's not. Not even close. πŸ‘‡

Here's what actually happens after our virtual session with your student:
⏱️ 45 minutes of detailed scoring
⏱️ 45 more minutes of report writing

And while I'm scoring β€” I'm not just looking at:
β†’ Letter formation
β†’ Spacing and sizing
β†’ Line orientation
β†’ Speed and posture
β†’ Motor planning
β†’ Visual perceptual skills
β†’ Dexterity

I'm also thinking:
β†’ How is their spelling?
β†’ How is their reading?
β†’ How is their processing speed?
β†’ What is their verbal ability telling me?
β†’ What does their whole learning profile look like?
Because handwriting is never just about handwriting.
It's a window into how a child learns.

And for the educators and OTs reading this β€” this is exactly the kind of thinking we teach inside the Dysgraphia Blueprint.
Here's what you'll walk away with:
βœ… A clear framework for identifying dysgraphia at every grade level
βœ… Evidence-based classroom strategies that actually stick
βœ… Screening tools, red flag checklists, and student work examples
βœ… Accommodation guides that are IEP and 504 friendly
βœ… Communication templates for parents, OTs, SLPs, and admin
βœ… Data tracking sheets built for IEP meetings
βœ… 8 professional development hours + Certificate of Completion
βœ… A complete action plan you can implement immediately

No more guessing. No more feeling stuck when a student struggles.
Just a clear, step-by-step blueprint built for the real world.

A handwriting referral that just says "poor handwriting" doesn't give you enough to work with.

Poor handwriting during what?

Copying? Dictation? Self-generated writing in a noisy classroom? Those are completely different demands β€” and the gap between them is often where the real story lives.

I went deep on exactly this with Jayson Davies at . Cognitive load, assessment, written expression, collaboration β€” all of it.

Every August, your child's new teacher meets a room full of kids they don't know yet β€” and spends the first few weeks piecing together who each one really is.

But you already have that information. You know what a hard day looks like, what "I'm fine" really means, and what actually helps your child do their best work.

One honest, one-page letter hands the teacher that head start β€” and starts the year with the two of you on the same team.

We put together a free, fill-in-the-blank template to make it easy (all 5 sections + sample wording included).

There's always that one student β€” bright, capable, and completely stuck the second it's time to write. And you already know they'll be back in your room this fall.

The best thing you can do for them this year doesn't take a school budget or a district training day. It takes a framework β€” one that actually follows you into your classroom instead of living in a binder you never open again.

That's what the Dysgraphia Blueprint is. Self-paced PD built for real teachers: six modules covering what dysgraphia really is, how to spot the red flags, classroom strategies that fit your room, accommodations for IEPs and 504s, and your own implementation plan. You finish with 8 PD hours and a Certificate of Completion β€” and a plan you can use on day one.

Not theory. Something you'll actually reach for.

Picture walking into this school year already knowing what to do for the student whose writing never matches how bright they are.

That's what the Dysgraphia Blueprint is for. It's a self-paced PD course built for busy teachers β€” six modules that take you from the framework, to spotting the red flags, to real classroom strategies, accommodations, and collaborating with your team. Every module comes with a toolkit you can actually use, plus 8 PD hours and a Certificate of Completion.

No handwriting curriculum? No problem. This is the roadmap.

Your kid isn't lazy. You've known that all along.

They're full of ideas β€” until it has to go on paper. "Messy handwriting" was never a verdict on how smart they are.

This year, start it knowing exactly what's making writing hard β€” and what will help. The Handwriting Assessment gives you a clear picture of your child's strengths and a written report you can bring straight to their teacher and support staff. Everyone on the same page, day one.

This August only β€” $50 off. ($249 β†’ $199.)

"They'll grow out of it."

You heard some version of that last year. Now it's a new school year, the same struggles are back, and the gap between how smart your child is and what shows up on paper is a little wider than it was in June.

Here's what I want you to know: your child isn't lazy, and you're not overreacting. The summer didn't fix it because more of the same was never going to. And it isn't the teachers either β€” they're doing heroic work with 25+ kids and no handwriting training. The system just isn't built for this.

But when you stop guessing and start with a real plan, progress tends to come faster than parents expect. After working with 400+ students, that's the pattern I see again and again β€” target the right thing, and things start to move.

So for back-to-school, I'm taking $50 off a Handwriting Assessment. It's how you finally see what's really going on, instead of heading into another year of wait-and-see.

πŸ’¬ Comment READY and I'll send you everything you need to get set up.

Prefer to talk it through first? We can do that too β€” we'll go over what you're seeing, the common root causes, and the best next step for your child, whether you work with us or not.

By second grade, a child's handwriting should be getting smaller and more controlled, not bigger. Large, inconsistent letters are one of the most overlooked red flags I see β€” because parents and teachers often chalk it up to "they just need more practice." But inconsistent sizing usually isn't a practice problem. It can signal a motor planning problem.

If your child's letters are all different sizes within the same word, or if they physically cannot write smaller even when they try, that's your brain telling you something important.

I’ve looked at hundreds of kids’ handwriting samples β€” and after a while, your eye starts catching things fast.

So here’s a challenge: can you spot the red flags in these 3rd and 4th grade writing samples? 🚩

I left an emoji with a clue next to each one. None of these mean something is β€œwrong” with a child. They’re just signs worth a closer look β€” especially when they’re still showing up past second grade. This is about noticing, not diagnosing.

πŸ‘‡ Comment the emoji you caught. Bonus points if you tell me why it’s a red flag.

Every teacher has that student β€” bright, full of ideas, and completely stuck the second it's time to write.

For years we've been told it's a motivation problem. It usually isn't. It's dysgraphia, and it's something you were never trained to spot.

The Dysgraphia Blueprint walks you through all of it: the framework, the red flags by grade level, classroom strategies, accommodations, and the toolkit to back it up. Six modules, 8 PD hours, and a Certificate of Completion when you're done.
