Last weekend my friend, Julie K Spears invited me to join her for a fundraiser for Gulf Therapy.

Not only has GulfTherapy been a huge help to people I know personally, but they were also honoring my dear friend Julie and Julie’s son, Zach, who would’ve been 26 on Saturday had he not passed away in a tragic car accident nearly 10 years ago.

I didn’t know what to expect, but what I came away with was nothing but gratitude.

Mental health is such a critical part of all of our lives, and I now understand how something as simple as paddling a SUP board can affect one’s mental health in so many positive ways.

It was such a beautiful day, and I’m looking forward to being a part of it for years to come!!! 💜

How it feels telling today’s DPT grads that I have a Master’s in Physical Therapy…and we were only the second class to graduate with one. 😂
